Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the receipt and acknowledgment of an application. A phone interview is then conducted, followed by reference checks, which include contacting a veterinarian and a landlord if the applicant is renting. A virtual meet and greet is scheduled to facilitate interaction with the animal. If the adoption moves forward, a contract is signed, an adoption fee of $125 is paid, and the animal is officially claimed by the adopter.

Our mission as a volunteer organization is to prevent cruelty to animals, foster respect and compassion for them, and ensure they find quality homes. We aim to decrease the number of animals euthanized by collaborating with our local Animal Control. In addition to various responsibilities, I oversee all medical appointments, maintain medical records, and provide adopters with comprehensive healthcare summaries.
