Adoption Process

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. We are excited to assist you in finding your ideal cat companion. To begin the adoption process, please complete the online application. Following your application, you will have the opportunity to discuss your preferences and ask questions directly to the foster parent. Our organization is entirely foster-based, which allows us to gain a deep understanding of each cat's personality. This insight helps us ensure a great match for you and your family. Filling out our online application does not obligate you to adopt. Instead, it helps us understand your needs and find the best cat or kitten for you. Once your application is approved, we can arrange a meet and greet. If everything goes well, you may be able to take your new cat or kitten home that same day. Please remember to bring a properly sized pet carrier for your visit. We recommend a carrier that opens from the top, as this makes it easier to place a cat inside. If you decide to adopt, we encourage you to take your cat home on the same day, as we constantly rescue new cats and kittens from high-kill shelters. If you are unable to take your new pet home immediately, we charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies, with a maximum boarding period of three days to allow you time to prepare. Our adoption fees, which cover full veterinary care, including flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV testing, microchip insertion, and up-to-date vaccinations, can be found on our website. We accept cash, checks, PayPal, and most major credit cards for the adoption fee. We have made the adoption process efficient and convenient. Everything, from the application and payment to the contract, is handled online. Additionally, all records for your new cat will be organized in your complimentary Petlovers account at petstablished.com.
