Adoption Process
To begin the adoption process, we require potential adopters to submit an application. After reviewing and approving the application, we will reach out to schedule a phone interview. During this conversation, we will discuss your preferences in a dog and work to find the best match for you. Following this, we will conduct a home visit to ensure a suitable environment for the dog. The adoption will be subject to a 30-day trial period, during which we will assess the compatibility between the dog and the new owners. At the end of this period, we will re-evaluate the situation to confirm that the adoption is a good fit for everyone involved. All dogs are adopted out with up-to-date vaccinations and are spayed or neutered; no dog will be placed without being altered. Additionally, we microchip all dogs when they enter our rescue program. Even after the adoption process is complete, we maintain contact with adopters and their dogs to ensure ongoing care. We are committed to supporting adopters with any training issues that may arise and are dedicated to assisting with the transition. Our adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the medical expenses incurred for each dog. We stand behind every dog adopted through our rescue and are here to help throughout the entire process.

Furlife German Shepherd Rescue in Huger, SC
I have been involved in animal rescue for approximately three years. Our organization addresses the serious issues of abuse, neglect, and the abandonment of animals. We prioritize educating the public about animal welfare, and next year, we plan to visit schools to teach children about these important topics, as we believe that educating young people will influence their parents' attitudes and behaviors regarding animals. Our mission is to protect animals, as many people view them merely as possessions rather than living beings with emotions. We rescue dogs from situations of abuse and neglect, from high-kill shelters, and we also accept some stray animals.
