About this shelter

New Hope Rescue in Opelika, AL

New Hope Rescue, Inc. is an organization dedicated to animal rescue, based in Alabama. As a non-shelter organization, NHR does not house animals but aims to reduce euthanasia rates by providing spaying and neutering services, microchipping, and raising awareness about the unwanted pet population. The organization relies on donations from local individuals and businesses, with all funds dedicated solely to animal care. New Hope Rescue plans to raise funds through various events such as raffles, yard sales, and bingo nights. Our mission includes supporting other rescues that do house animals by assisting with their food, medical expenses, transportation costs, and any additional needs they may have. We are committed to rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters and improving their chances for a better life.

Adopting from New Hope Rescue

Adoption process

The adoption fee ranges from $150 to $250. All animals receive age-appropriate vaccinations. A contract is required to ensure that the animal will be spayed or neutered if it is too young at the time of adoption. Additionally, if the adopter is unable to care for the animal, it must be returned to NHR.
