Animal Protection Society of Person County in Roxboro, NC

The Animal Protection Society, Inc. (APS) of Person County is a non-profit organization that serves as a humane society for the entire county, operating independently from the Person County government and its funding. Our team consists of dedicated volunteers who are committed to promoting spay/neuter initiatives to help reduce pet overpopulation, which often results in the premature loss of many cherished companions. We are also focused on rescuing animals in peril and finding them loving homes. Although we do not operate a shelter, rescued animals are placed in our foster program, where we provide medical care, affection, and nourishment while they await permanent homes. Our objectives include promoting spay/neuter to address the overpopulation of animals, which contributes to neglect, abuse, and abandonment in Person County; placing unwanted animals into responsible and loving homes; educating the public about responsible pet ownership; and rescuing animals at risk of euthanasia.
