Adoption Process
The adoption process requires references and a home visit to ensure a safe and loving environment for the animal. A one-week pre-adoption stay at the new home will help determine compatibility. An adoption donation of $150 is requested if the family is able to contribute. A fenced yard is necessary, and the pet must have access to the house. Additionally, all animals six months and older must be spayed or neutered and house-trained before adoption.

The service areas include Murphy, Andrew, and Marble in North Carolina, as well as Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Young Harris, and Hiawassee in Georgia. Services are not limited to these locations and are available nationwide.

Lost Dogs Run was established to encourage individuals to foster unwanted animals until they can be adopted. We offer food and medical assistance during the fostering period, which may last up to a year, depending on our available funding.
