We are a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Our team has over 50 years of combined experience in volunteering with animal rescues and shelters. We have extensive resources dedicated to helping dogs find their forever homes. There is no greater joy than witnessing a dog meet their new family for the first time, knowing they have finally found a true home. Receiving photos months later of a happy, relaxed dog enjoying their new life motivates us to continue our work, as we find fulfillment in these moments.

Adoption process
Our adoption process includes a home visit when feasible, as well as the submission of an application that includes references and information about your veterinarian. To ensure a safe and stable environment for our dogs, we require a fenced yard for all adopters. We also conduct a meet and greet with the dog and the potential adopter, which includes family members and any other dogs in the household. Additionally, NDFD requires the signing of a contract, and adoption fees start at $125.
