Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with potential adopters meeting the animal at an adoption event or through a scheduled meeting. Interested adopters must complete an adoption application, which will then be verified. This verification includes checking veterinary references and confirming that current pets are up to date on vaccinations, as well as ensuring the applicant either owns their home or has permission from their landlord. Following this assessment, the adoption application will be either approved or denied. Once approved, an adoption fee is collected, which is $150 for dogs, $100 for cats, and an additional $100 spay/neuter fee for puppies that are too young to be altered. After the adoption, follow-up communication is conducted at intervals of two weeks, one month, two months, six months, and one year. More frequent follow-ups are scheduled for unaltered puppies.
