About this shelter
Pug Rescue of North Carolina, Inc. in Summerfield, NC
Pug Rescue of North Carolina (PRONC) is a non-profit organization committed to the welfare of the Pug breed. We focus on rescuing pugs in crisis and providing them with the care they need to recover both physically and emotionally in the homes of our dedicated volunteers. Each pug is treated as a member of the family until we can find a suitable and approved forever home. Many pugs arrive at PRONC facing various health challenges, ranging from minor to severe. We strive to save every animal that comes into our care, reserving euthanasia only for extreme cases where no reasonable alternatives exist. All pugs receive a thorough veterinary evaluation, are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, microchipped, and brought up to date on vaccinations. Currently, due to limited resources, we can only accept purebred pugs. However, we are willing to rescue pugs of any age or health condition, with our capacity to accept new animals dependent on available space and funding. Thanks to generous donations, we have successfully rescued many pugs from overcrowded shelters that would otherwise face euthanasia. PRONC operates with no paid staff and relies entirely on donations and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers. Meeting the needs of numerous homeless, neglected, and abused animals presents a financial challenge. We invite you to consider making a tax-deductible donation today, knowing that your contribution will bring joy to a pug's life and help them find happiness in a new home. If you are passionate about the pug breed and are interested in fostering pugs in need, we would love to hear from you. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers from the Carolinas and surrounding states. PRONC is recognized as a publicly supported organization under section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the IRS code and is classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, making your donations tax-deductible.
