Rocky Mountain Siamese Rescue serves Greeley, Colorado, in Weld County, about 20 miles northwest of Fort Collins, and is one of ten animal shelters and rescues based in Weld County. It was part of a coalition of Siamese-focused rescue groups spanning Virginia, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, and California, dedicated to placing unwanted Siamese cats from owners and shelters into carefully matched new homes. Adoption efforts centered on pairing each cat's individual personality with the right household, recognizing that Siamese cats are smart, active, vocal, and need owners with the time and attention to help them settle in. As of 2021, the Colorado branch, like most of the coalition's groups aside from Southern California, ceased operating independently.
