Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue in Broomfield, CO
Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue is a rescue organization based in Broomfield, Colorado, located in Adams County, roughly 7 miles southeast of Thornton, CO, alongside 10 other animal shelters and rescues in the county. Operating as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, it is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers who find and re-home rural and local Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes. The organization is entirely foster-based, meaning the number of dogs it can help is limited to the number of available foster homes, and donations go toward transport, vetting, and care costs. True to its motto of "saving one wagging tail at a time," RMLR does not DNA test its dogs before adoption, embracing the mystery of what each lab mix truly is.
