The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is a humane society based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, located in El Paso County, roughly 1 mile northeast of the city center, where 22 other animal shelters and rescues also operate. HSPPR operates two adoption centers, in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, helping dogs, cats, small animals, and barn cats find new homes, and works to ensure every unwanted or homeless pet has a safe place for shelter and care in the Pikes Peak Region. Beyond adoptions, the organization runs a spay/neuter and vaccine clinic, a foster care program, and an Animal Law Enforcement division that enforces animal welfare laws and investigates cruelty across the region. HSPPR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that also relies on volunteers and foster families to support the pets in its care.
