A grassroots Arizona animal rescue organization operating since 2004, it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats before they end up at the pound or humane society, placing them into loving adoptive homes. RHAR operates entirely through a foster program and a network of volunteers who take rescued animals into their homes, and all animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Adoption fees start at $200 for dogs and puppies, $150 for cats over a year old, and $200 for kittens under 12 months.
