Adoption Process

The adoption fees are as follows: Kittens are available for $85 each or two for $125. Adult cats can be adopted for $65 each or two for $95. Additionally, there is a special program for seniors, where a cat aged seven or older can be adopted for $40 by a person aged 62 or older. All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV, FeLV, heartworm, and ringworm, microchipped, and vaccinated against ultranasal calici, FVRCP, and rabies.

The Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter in Tucson, AZ

We are Arizona's first no-kill, no-cage cat shelter. Our organization accepts cats and kittens from the public and regularly rescues animals from local kill shelters. Mission Our mission is to advocate for homeless cats in our community by actively seeking permanent, loving homes for the cats in our care. We provide lifelong care for those cats that cannot be re-homed due to behavioral or medical issues. We are committed to educating the public about responsible companion animal guardianship. We adhere to a no-kill principle, ensuring that no cat in our care will ever be euthanized to make space for another. Cats will only be humanely euthanized in cases of terminal and painful illness or when compassion necessitates it due to a lack of reasonable alternatives. Vision Our vision for the future is that every cat is spayed or neutered and cared for in a loving home by a responsible guardian. We strive for a society where people treat animals as sentient beings, ensuring they are neither exploited nor harmed. We aim for the Hermitage Cat Shelter to be a world-class organization that provides sanctuary care for cats needing temporary or permanent shelter, while promoting the intrinsic value of all animals.
