About this shelter

Sunny Sky's Animal Rescue in Puyallup, WA

Sunny Sky's Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization based in Puyallup, Washington, in Pierce County, about 9 miles northwest of Tacoma. Twelve other animal shelters and rescues also operate in Pierce County. Sunny Sky's focuses on helping animals who need it most, with an emphasis on senior pets and animals requiring medical attention; the organization lost its original shelter to a fire in 2021 and has since been rebuilding a new sanctuary property in Graham, WA, where most adoption meet-and-greets now take place. Run primarily by volunteers, the rescue requires adoption applications to be approved before prospective adopters can meet available dogs and cats, and it accepts animal surrenders on a case-by-case basis.
