Adoption Process

To initiate the adoption process, applicants are required to complete a six-page application and obtain pre-approval for a meet and greet. Adoption fees for cats range from $99 to $149, while fees for dogs vary from $99 to $499. Adoption fees for rabbits differ based on specific circumstances. A contract will be signed, and the adoption fee will be collected during the home visit. Please note that all dog adoptions necessitate a fenced backyard.

The organization was founded in 2009 by our Executive Director, following their retirement from the gym industry. Recognizing the lack of a no-kill rescue facility in Stafford County, they established this organization. In our inaugural year, we assisted 15 animals. The following years saw significant growth, with 108 animals helped in 2010 and 191 in 2011. We accept animals through surrender and rescue them from high-kill shelters, ensuring that they are adopted by families that meet our criteria. We are committed to the lifelong welfare of our animals and require that, should an adoption not work out, the pets be returned to us.
