About this shelter

Ring Dog Rescue in Henrico, VA

Ring Dog Rescue is a dog rescue based in Henrico, Virginia, located in Henrico County about 5 miles southeast of Richmond, VA, where 5 other animal shelters and rescues also operate. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to "Pit Bull type dogs," defined as any dog with bulldog lineage, and it lists adoptable pit bulls not only from its own program but also from partner rescues and private individuals who have taken in orphaned pit bulls. The organization's members all own pit bull type dogs themselves and aim to guide adopters toward a happy life with their companion while answering questions about the breed. Ring Dog Rescue also runs several programs, including the Low Riding Crew, Posy's Pocket, The Doghouse Project, and Popsicles for Pups, and offers free spay/neuter request services to the community.
