True Blue Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3, no-kill animal rescue based in Brenham, Texas, established in 2004 and operated entirely by volunteers with animals cared for in loving foster homes. It rescues and rehomes dogs, cats, and horses, running solely on donations and grants that go directly toward vet care, rehabilitation, and feeding. Animals that come into TBAR's care are never euthanized and remain with the rescue until a permanent home is found. Located in Washington County, about 60 miles southeast of Houston, True Blue Animal Rescue is one of four animal shelters and rescues serving that county.
