To adopt, email the Dog/Cat Coordinator to arrange meeting a specific pet or attend the Saturday adoption event at the Clear Lake Petco; dog adopters must live in the immediate Houston/Galveston area, be at least 25 years old, and may need a home visit before approval.

Second Chance Pets is an animal shelter located in League City, Texas, in Galveston County, where 9 other animal shelters and rescues are also based, roughly 25 miles northwest of Houston. It is a foster-based rescue that relies on volunteers to care for homeless dogs and cats, primarily rescued from local shelters and off the streets, until they find adoptive homes. The organization holds weekly adoption events every Saturday at the Petco in Clear Lake, where cats and dogs are made available for adoption. Second Chance Pets also welcomes new foster families to help provide a lifeline for the animals in its care.
