Founded in 2000, Blount CARE is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to promoting animal welfare throughout Blount County. Its mission includes educating local children on animal-related issues, providing temporary housing for animals while connecting them with other rescue groups or adopters, encouraging spay and neuter programs, and working to make the county a more animal-friendly place for pets awaiting adoption.
