About this shelter
Humane Society of Barbour County in Eufaula, AL
The Humane Society of Barbour County is a humane society located in Eufaula, Alabama, roughly 45 miles north of Columbus, GA, and it's one of two animal shelters serving Barbour County. The Society is organized to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty and the care of abused and abandoned animals, operating out of a bright, educational shelter building located near the county landfill off Clayton Highway. It offers boarding, bathing, limited grooming, and microchipping services for cats and dogs, and relies heavily on volunteers since its budget covers only one full-time and one part-time employee. All animals at the shelter are kept clean and socialized and given as many age-appropriate vaccinations as possible before being made available for adoption into loving homes.
