Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission in Conway, SC

WARM is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue organization located in Conway, South Carolina. Our mission is to rescue stray, abandoned, and abused animals and facilitate their placement with new guardians. All animals in our care are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated, and provided with necessary preventive care before being adopted into new homes. In addition to cats and dogs, WARM also rescues wildlife and farm animals, maintaining a population of between 300 and 400 animals year-round. If we are unable to find suitable homes for these animals, they will live out their natural lives at the WARM farm. We ensure that no animal is euthanized unless it is suffering from an incurable illness and is no longer happy. Farm animals are adopted to small farms, while rehabilitated wildlife is released back into their natural habitats, away from human habitation and hunting areas.

Adoption process

Prospective guardians are required to complete an adoption application, followed by an interview and a visit with the animal. After this, there is a 48-hour waiting period. During this time, the application will be verified with veterinarians and references. A home visit will also be conducted. Adoption fees vary based on the breed and age of the animals being adopted.
