The farm was founded in 1998 by Regina Martin Allman and David Allman and was incorporated in 2000 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) hoofed animal rescue. The farm relies heavily on volunteers who clean stalls, build and repair fences and buildings, and feed and socialize the animals, and it also cares for permanent resident barn cats and schooling horses alongside the animals it places for adoption.
