Valley Save-A-Pet in Solon, OH
Valley Save-A-Pet is a nonprofit humane society based in Solon, Ohio, in Cuyahoga County, located roughly 15 miles northwest of Cleveland. Established in 1976, the all-volunteer organization is dedicated to alleviating the unnecessary suffering of animals and helps rehabilitate abandoned dogs and cats, placing them in loving adoptive homes. It does not practice euthanasia unless medically indicated, and 100% of donated funds go directly to animal care, with programs covering rescue and adoption, spay/neuter assistance, and veterinary care assistance. The group funds its work in part through its volunteer-run resale shop, The Purr-fect Place, in nearby Bedford, Ohio, and is one of 41 animal shelters and rescues serving Cuyahoga County.
