Humane Society of Madison County in London, OH
The Humane Society of Madison County manages the county animal shelter with the objective of finding homes for all adoptable animals that arrive at our facility. We collaborate with a local prison to implement a foster care training program for dogs, while inmates also provide care for orphaned kittens until they are ready for adoption. Additionally, we organize off-site adoption events to further facilitate the search for permanent homes for the animals in our care.

Adoption process
To begin the adoption process, you must complete an adoption application, which will be reviewed promptly, typically within a few days. Once your application is approved, you will be required to sign an adoption contract. The adoption fee is $105 for dogs and $60 for cats. These fees cover testing, vaccinations, rabies shots, and spaying or neutering. Additionally, dogs will receive a microchip.
