The Crawford County Humane Society is a non-profit organization based in Bucyrus, Ohio, serving Crawford County and located about 60 miles south of Columbus. Run by dedicated volunteers, its mission is to improve animal welfare and provide protection for all animals, working to prevent cruelty and neglect while curbing pet overpopulation through education and action. The shelter helps an average of 2,000 animals a year and facilitates adoptions of cats and dogs, supported in part by weekly Bingo fundraisers held every Wednesday night. It is located at 3590 State Route 98 in Bucyrus and is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12–5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
