Adoption Process

To initiate the adoption process, interested individuals must complete an adoption form and demonstrate their ability to provide a suitable home for the spayed or neutered animal. Please note that we do not have the resources to conduct home visits. The adoption fee typically ranges around $100.

VRHS was established in 1969 to offer rescue services for stray animals in Cherokee and Clay Counties, North Carolina. Our mission is to provide humane care for stray and unwanted animals. We are the only shelter serving three counties in the region.
