Catman2, Inc. is a cage-free cat sanctuary in Cullowhee, North Carolina, located in Jackson County alongside 5 other animal shelters/rescues in the county, and sits roughly 50 miles southeast of Greenville, SC. Serving Jackson County and the surrounding Western North Carolina communities since 1996, Catman2 provides a safe-for-life home for rescued cats in three separate cat rooms plus a dedicated kitten room, each opening onto a screened porch. Beyond adoption, the organization supports the community through low-cost spay/neuter clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return efforts for community cats, and education aimed at reducing pet overpopulation. Led by Kaleb Lynch with just two employees, Catman2 relies heavily on volunteers and donor generosity to continue its lifesaving work.
