Pet Adoption Network is a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter serving Rochester, New York, located in Monroe County, where 11 other animal shelters and rescues also operate. Situated about 3 miles southwest of downtown Rochester, PAN focuses specifically on rescuing homeless cats and kittens, providing them with veterinary care, and placing them into responsible adoptive homes; all of its cats live in foster homes until they're ready for adoption. The organization also works to educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter, vaccination, and proper pet care, and its adoption center at 1963 E. Main St. is open to visitors Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3pm. As a 501(c)(3) charity, 100% of donations go directly toward rescue, food, shelter, and medical care for the cats in its program.
