New 2 U Rescue is a rescue organization located in Rochester, New York, approximately 3 miles southeast of the city, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is a foster-based, all-breed dog rescue run by a team of volunteers, with no physical shelter — every dog lives in a foster home until a suitable adoptive home is found. The organization specializes in helping pregnant or nursing mother dogs and also takes in puppy mill dogs, along with other local dogs in need when foster space is available. All dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, treated for worms and other health issues, and heartworm tested when age-appropriate, and adopters must undergo a home visit and in-person meeting as part of the adoption process.
