The facility can accommodate up to 150 cats and dogs, and every year, approximately 700 animals are rescued and placed in new homes. As a no-kill facility, it prioritizes the well-being of these animals. The organization performs over 4,000 spay and neuter surgeries annually at low costs for the public. Additionally, it offers a retirement home on-site for cats that outlive their owners and runs a pet therapy program for seniors in nursing care facilities, along with providing humane education. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the organization relies entirely on private donations to operate.

Adoption process

The adoption process involves signing an adoption contract and undergoing a screening that includes reference checks, both personal and veterinary, as well as verification of personal information. Adoption fees range from $50.00 to $150.00, which cover up-to-date vaccinations, spaying or neutering, microchipping, and testing for canine heartworm and feline AIDS.
