Crossing Paths Animal Rescue is a rescue organization based in Locust Fork, Alabama, in Blount County, about 30 miles south of Birmingham. Two other animal shelters or rescues also serve Blount County. Established in 2006 as a 501(c)(3) organization, Crossing Paths is dedicated to placing abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs into forever loving homes, run by a dedicated group of volunteers. In 2021 alone the rescue took in more than 1,000 dogs and successfully placed 808 of them into adoptive homes, with the rest transferred to other organizations with greater adoption demand.
