About this shelter

New Jersey Schnauzer Rescue Network, Inc. in Fanwood, NJ

New Jersey Schnauzer Rescue Network, Inc. is a rescue organization based in Fanwood, New Jersey, located in Union County, about 9 miles south of Edison, NJ, and is one of 15 animal shelters/rescues in Union County. Its mission is finding permanent, loving homes for Miniature Schnauzers and Schnauzer mixes throughout the northeastern United States, providing veterinary care, foster placement, and adopter education along the way. As a federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, NJSRN will never euthanize a dog in its program for lack of an available home, instead keeping dogs in foster care—sometimes for life—until the right match is found. The organization also promotes responsible dog ownership and refers potential owners only to Miniature Schnauzer breeders who follow responsible breeding practices, including health screening for PRA.
