The rescued horses have included descendants of famous bloodlines such as Seattle Slew, Secretariat, Mr. Prospector, and Quarterhorse champion Impressive, with horses in its care ranging from 7 to 18 years old. The group also supports retired NYPD Mounted Police Unit horses and counts a former USDA Chief Inspector, Dr. Lester Friedlander, DVM, among its board members.
