Monadnock Humane Society in West Swanzey, NH

Monadnock Humane Society, located in West Swanzey, New Hampshire, has strengthened the well-being of animals and their human companions since 1875. Its mission is to strengthen the animal-human bond by promoting and providing for the well-being of animals, and the shelter cares for an average of over 1,600 animals each year while serving 43 communities across the Monadnock Region and beyond. In addition to adoption services for dogs, cats, and small animals, MHS offers dog training, pet boarding, daycare, spay/neuter and health clinics, and animal cruelty investigation services, and is funded entirely by community support. Situated in Cheshire County, roughly 45 miles east of Nashua, it shares the county with two other area animal shelters and rescues.
