East Mississippi Animal Rescue in Meridian, MS

East Mississippi Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer non-profit organization, recognized as a 501(c)(3) entity, and funded solely by private donations. Unlike traditional shelters, we do not have visiting hours; instead, our animals are cared for in the homes of our dedicated volunteers. The costs associated with rescue efforts are covered through donations and adoption fees. We focus on sponsoring a variety of dogs and cats that we believe are highly adoptable. Each of these pets is vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed or neutered, all offered for a low adoption fee.

Adoption process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an application. We conduct reference checks and schedule a home visit. If all aspects are approved, a contract will be signed.
