About this shelter

Copiah Animal Shelter in Crystal Springs, MS

Copiah Animal Shelter is a volunteer-led nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, roughly 25 miles northeast of Jackson, in Copiah County. Officially known as Copiah County Animal Shelter, Inc., it has provided shelter and medical care to lost and abandoned animals since 2011, working to place them in loving homes through pet adoption. It operates as a limited-intake shelter, serving Copiah County and surrounding communities, and its small facility fills quickly, so those with incoming animals are asked to call ahead to check for available space. The shelter is open 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, and relies on donations, a Walmart gift registry, and volunteer support to care for the animals in its charge.
