Mississippi Animal Rescue in Jackson, MS

Mississippi Animal Rescue is a rescue organization located about 6 miles east of Jackson, Mississippi. Chartered in 1969, it is the largest full-service animal welfare organization in Central Mississippi and operates as an "open admission" shelter, accepting every animal that comes through its doors rather than limiting intake like many other area shelters. Its mission is to find loving, forever homes where pets are treated as members of the family, and it has placed over 62,000 animals in homes to date. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00–5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00–4:00 PM.
