Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation is a rescue organization based in Zimmerman, Minnesota, located in Sherburne County about 30 miles southeast of Brooklyn Park. Founded in 1994, the organization has spent over three decades rescuing, rehabilitating, retraining, and rehoming horses and other equids, including donkeys and mules. Much of its intake comes from humane cases referred through law enforcement agencies across the state, as well as owners who can no longer keep their animals, and the organization relies on foster and adoptive homes to place the horses in its care. MHARF also offers horse sponsorships and works with partners such as local veterinary services to support the rehabilitation of animals with special medical needs.
