Adoption Process
The adoption process begins with submitting an application. This is followed by an interview with a volunteer and the signing of an adoption contract, which is required for all adopters. Each adoption must be approved by a Board Member, and we reserve the right to place each cat in the home we deem most suitable. The adoption fee covers several essential services, including current vaccinations, FIV and feline leukemia testing, spaying or neutering, treatments for internal and external parasites, a veterinary examination prior to adoption, and any additional medical care the cat may require. The adoption fees are as follows: - $100 for kittens and adult cats - A discount is available for double adoptions on the same day, with the second cat available for $50 - Senior cats (7 years and older) can be adopted for $50 - Senior citizens receive a discount of $75 on their adoption fee.

Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue, Inc. in Dimondale, MI
Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization that operates as a 501(C)(3) entity, relying entirely on donations and fundraising efforts within the Mid-Michigan community. Our mission is to find permanent homes for cats and kittens that have been abused, abandoned, neglected, or surrendered by their owners. We provide temporary foster care for these animals in our homes, rather than in a shelter, until we can match them with qualified and responsible adopters. We uphold high standards of veterinary care, which includes spaying and neutering all cats, administering vaccinations, conducting FIV/FeLV testing, and managing parasite control. As a non-euthanasia organization, we only consider euthanasia when an animal's injury, disease, or temperament makes it the only viable option. We do not sell animals to research facilities. In addition to our rescue efforts, we manage a feral colony of over 60 cats and practice a trap-neuter-release program whenever feasible. We also provide the public with access to low-cost spay and neuter services, while advocating for the importance of sterilization to help reduce overpopulation and promote the humane treatment of domestic animals. We take personal, lifetime responsibility for every animal in our care and strive to adopt out healthy, well-socialized, and mentally sound cats and kittens. Our team of dedicated volunteers, who have extensive experience in home foster care, is committed to maintaining professionalism and excellence in the care we provide, ensuring that our foster cats receive love, tenderness, dignity, and compassion.
