Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan in Franklin, MI
Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan is a golden retriever rescue based in Franklin, Michigan, in Oakland County, where 22 other animal shelters and rescues are also located, and it sits about 15 miles east of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Since 2000, GRRoM has been giving Goldens a second chance at the lives they deserve, currently caring for dozens of dogs in foster care while covering the medical treatment, grooming, and healing time each rescued Golden needs. In 2025 alone the organization rescued 124 Goldens and found adoptive homes for 123 of them, spending over $95,000 on their care. The rescue relies on donations, merchandise sales, and volunteer support to fund its work and continues to share adoptable dogs and rescue stories through its Golden Archives.
