Animal Shelter Assistance Program in Goleta, CA

Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP Cats) is located in Goleta, California, in Santa Barbara County, where 14 other animal shelters and rescues also operate; it sits roughly 90 miles east of Los Angeles. Founded in 1989, ASAP Cats has spent over 32 years saving and serving the cats of Santa Barbara County as the first non-kill shelter in the county, with 100% of its adoptable cats successfully rehomed. Its mission focuses on providing shelter, veterinary care, behavioral support, adopter and foster services, feline education, and community outreach, while working to reduce the overpopulation of stray, unsocial, and unhoused cats through programs like TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) and its Working Cats program. The organization relies on more than 200 volunteers and offers services such as adoption, fostering, lost-and-found assistance, and spay/neuter support.
