About this shelter

Animal Friends Connection in Lodi, CA

Animal Friends Connection is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit humane society located at 933 S. Cherokee Lane in Lodi, California, in San Joaquin County, roughly 50 miles north of Sacramento. It operates a sanctuary dedicated to dogs and cats, relying heavily on fostering to save the lives of over 800 pets each year, and it works with volunteers and donors to fund daily and medical care for its animals. Adopters must complete a dog or cat application, and the organization sets strict home requirements, including secure fencing, no chaining or outdoor-only living, and family meet-and-greets before an adoption is approved. As one of nine animal shelters and rescues serving San Joaquin County, Animal Friends Connection also partners with organizations like Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet to help match its animals with adoptive homes.
