Guided by the belief that parrots and all wild animals should be free, Foster Parrots works with partner organizations such as the Jane Goodall Institute, Born Free USA, and World Animal Protection to address the harms of the exotic pet trade.

Adoption process

Applicants must meet requirements (no dangerous/predatory animals or ferrets, no non-stick cookware, no smoking/vaping, financial stability, ability to provide vet care and adequate out-of-cage time), pay a $200 placement fee, and for Traditional Guardianship must live in or be able to commute to New England for bonding visits and be over 21, then apply online and meet the birds before placement.
