Town Cats is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) cat rescue based in Ocean Pines, Maryland, in Worcester County, where three other animal shelters or rescues are also located. Founded in 1998, the organization was formed to address the feral cat population in Ocean City, Maryland, after summer visitors would leave behind cats they had fed all season, leaving them to face winter without food or shelter and to breed further litters. Its mission is to enrich the lives of free-roaming, feral, and abandoned cats in Ocean City and surrounding communities by limiting population growth and providing medical care through Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) programs, along with affordable adoption services. Town Cats sits roughly 40 miles north of Milford, Delaware.

Adoption process

Select a cat and complete a simple application, which is evaluated within 48-72 hours; upon approval, schedule a pickup appointment, sign a few forms, and pay a $120 fee that helps cover spay/neuter, vaccines, and medical care.
