About this shelter
Potomac Stray Cat Rescue, Inc. in Rohrersville, MD
Potomac Stray Cat Rescue, Inc. operates a no-kill sanctuary on 10 acres of woods in Rohrersville, Maryland, in Washington County, about 15 miles east of Frederick, MD, and is one of three animal shelters or rescues serving that county. The sanctuary focuses on spaying and neutering stray and feral cats, having reached a goal of spaying 100 cats in a single season, and it takes in strays from across the country despite limited space. It works with a local Hagerstown group to help manage stray and feral cat populations in and around town, lists adoptable cats through Pet Finder for wider exposure, and welcomes both day visitors and overnight guests to its secluded location near Harpers Ferry, WV.
