Tangi Humane Society is a humane society based in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, serving Tangipahoa Parish, where four other animal shelters and rescues also operate. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer dog shelter whose mission centers on stopping cruelty, restoring health, finding loving homes, teaching respect, and stopping overpopulation. The organization works closely with local law enforcement on animal cruelty investigations, and most of its adoptable animals come directly from these cruelty cases; rescued animals are quarantined, given veterinary care, and rehabilitated before being placed up for adoption, with spay/neuter mandatory for all adoptions.
