The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in Danville, Kentucky, within Boyle County, roughly 30 miles east of Richmond, KY. Formed in 1972 to help the many abandoned and unwanted domestic animals in Boyle County, its mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals through compassionate care, engagement, and support, encompassing sheltering, adoptions, community education, and spay/neuter programs. The organization also runs a Mutts With Manners training program and a Community Cats initiative that includes trap/neuter/vaccinate/return (TNVR) services. Two other animal shelters or rescues also serve Boyle County alongside DBCHS.
