The Leavenworth County Humane Society, Inc. is a humane society located in Leavenworth, Kansas, in Leavenworth County, about 20 miles southeast of Kansas City, KS. It is the only organization working to build and operate a 21st century no-kill pet animal shelter to serve all Leavenworth County residents, and one other animal shelter or rescue also serves the county. The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit, is based at 100 W. Gilman Rd. in Lansing, KS, and welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday for adoptions and support.
