Quincy Humane Society is a humane society located in Quincy, Illinois, in Adams County, about 80 miles east of Springfield, IL. Founded in 1880, it has been "Saving Pets and Their People" for over 145 years and operates as a privately funded No-Kill facility. Adoption process

Applicants fill out an adoption questionnaire (online or paper) that takes 24-72 hours to process, then an adoption counselor contacts them to schedule an appointment to meet the animals and discuss the adoption; adopters must be at least 18, able to have the pet at their residence, and willing to spend up to an hour with a counselor discussing pet ownership responsibilities.
